Recycling Christmas Packaging

We hope everyone had a safe and happy Christmas! Now that all the fun is over, I’m sure your home is left with lots of wrapping paper, packing peanuts, boxes and plastic that you don’t know what to do with. Since we are committed to sustainability, we wanted to provide some tips on recycling Christmas packaging.

  1. Reuse – Save boxes, bags and bows for to use again next year.  Turn into an eco-friendly gift-wrapper by simply reusing your last year’s packaging.
  2. Get creative – Keep cards to make gift tags out of them next year. Get crafty with the used wrapping paper or keep wrapping paper for kids activities.
  3. Recycle your Christmas tree – The City of Vancouver offers a few options for what to do with your tree after the holidays including tree-chipping event, yard collection by the city or drop off at a local landfill. Find tree-recycling options in your city.
  4. Ask us about your local recycling program in your area – Many local stores and organizations offer easy ways for you to recycle Christmas packaging. Look out for programs and ways you can help.

We’re committed to conducting business and operations in an environmentally sensitive and responsible manner. Reuse, recycle, rewrap!
