It all started at The Great Little Desk

Happy New Year! As we plan for another successful year, we wanted to take this time to reflect back – all the way back to 32 years ago to when GLBC was born. In 1983, at a little desk in a 5,000 square foot Burnaby plant with just 3 employees, Robert Meggy started GLBC.

Now operating in it’s 33rd year, GLBC has over 200 employees from 29 different country, has won multiple employers and packaging design awards, has given over $100,000 in charitable donations, and has produced enough lineal fleet of products to go around the world 1.5 times. It’s crazy to think that all of this started a just one little desk back in 1982.

Bob’s desk was still being used in GLBC’s die cut department, so while Bob was on vacation, the GLBC team got together to have his original desk refinished and plaqued to celebrate Bob’s achievements over the past 30 years.
